Yes, Neo can pre-heat your home and will automatically learn how long your home takes to heat up.
As the seasons change, Neo will react by updating this preheat time.
Two settings are used for this function.
- Optimum Start
- Rate of Change (ROC)
Optimum Start is the maximum number of hours the thermostat will turn the heating on before your scheduled time. The thermostat may not use all of this time, it's a way to limit the total preheat time and is used in very cold buildings.
Rate of change is the number of minutes it takes to heat your home by 1C.
Neo constantly updates the ROC (Rate of change) setting in your thermostat by checking if the heating was at temperature on time, too early or too late, and based on the result changes this setting.
