Before You Start - Does the neoPlug Need Pairing?
Whether the neoPlug needs to be paired depends on what you want to use it for.
If you are using the neoPlug as a wireless signal booster between RF thermostats and an RF-Switch or UH8-RF, you do not need to pair the neoPlug to the neoApp for it to work as a booster.
This also applies to the V2 versions:
- RF-Switch
- RF-Switch V2
- UH8-RF
- UH8-RF V2
Simply power the neoPlug and it can help boost the RF communication between the thermostats and receiver.
If you want the neoPlug to act as a signal booster back to the neoHub, the neoPlug must be paired to the neoHub through the neoApp.
If you need to pair the neoPlug to the neoHub, continue to Part 1.
Part 1 - Start Pairing in the neoApp
- Open the neoApp.
- Select the neoHub / property you want to add the neoPlug to.
- Press the Plus (+) icon.
- Select neoPlug.
- Give the neoPlug a name.
- The neoApp will begin searching for the neoPlug.
Continue to Part 2.
Part 2 - Put the neoPlug Into Pairing Mode
- Make sure the neoPlug is plugged in and powered on.
- Press and hold the top button on the neoPlug for 5 seconds.
- The neoPlug should then begin pairing.
- Allow the neoApp time to find and add the neoPlug.
Do not press or hold the Connect button on the neoHub during this process.
If the neoPlug pairs successfully, continue to Part 4.
If it does not pair, continue to Part 3.
Part 3 - Reset the neoPlug
If the neoPlug does not pair using the steps above, reset the neoPlug and try again.
- Make sure the neoPlug is plugged in and powered on.
- Press and hold the top button on the neoPlug for 10 seconds.
- Continue holding the top button until the LEDs flash.
- Release the top button.
- Repeat the pairing steps in Parts 1 and 2.
Do not press or hold the Connect button on the neoHub. The reset above is completed using the top button on the neoPlug.
Part 4 - Check the neoPlug Has Paired
Once pairing has completed, the neoPlug should appear in the neoApp under the neoHub / property you selected.
You can then control the neoPlug through the neoApp, and it can also help boost communication back to the neoHub.
What Happens Next
If you are only using the neoPlug as a booster between RF thermostats and an RF-Switch, RF-Switch V2, UH8-RF or UH8-RF V2, it does not need to be paired to the neoApp.
If you are using the neoPlug to boost communication back to the neoHub, it needs to be paired to the neoHub through the neoApp.
If the neoPlug still will not pair after resetting it and repeating all of the steps in this article, the guidance in this article has no further steps. Please speak to an adviser who can assist further.
