A neoStat V2 has two options, Mode 1 which is a thermostat or Mode 2 which is a Time Clock which is changed via a factory reset of the thermostat.
In Mode 2, the thermostat is disabled and you can set when you want the hot water on (TIMER ON). Or when you want the hot water off (TIMER OFF).
In Mode 2, the neoStat V2 would need to be wired from the A2 terminal, via the cylinder stat to the hot water valve. The valve's end switch in turn would trigger the boiler/heat pump. If the cylinder requires 240V, then you would put a link between L and Com on the neoStat V2.
A neoStat V2 cannot do heating AND hot water, it will be one of the other. If you are looking at controlling both.
It would not control the temperature of the hot water as that is determined by the mechanical cylinder thermostat.
If your hot water is being controlled by a mid position valve, use a neoStat-hw V2 instead.
To move the neoStat V2 from thermostat to time clock, please go the following
- Go to the power icon on the left
- Press and hold tick until you see SETUP and CLOCK
- While the box is over SETUP, press and hold the tick button until all icons appear
- When you see 1 in the bottom left corner, press the right arrow to change the number to 2.
- Press tick
If the neoStat V2 was already on the App, you will need to delete it from the App and then add it again.
