As a default, the Slimline is in 'Programmable Mode'. This means that you can set different temperatures for different times. However if you just want it so you can manually adjust the thermostat, please follow these steps.
We have done 4 versions of the Slimline,
To check which version, if you do not know
- Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds to power the unit off.
- Press and hold the clock button until you see 00 01 on the screen.
- Keep tapping the clock button and the small number will go up, if the highest number is 11, then it either the Slimline V3 or Slimline V4. If the number goes goes up to 12, then it is either a Slimline or Slimline V2.
- Tap the A button to go to a blank screen
- Tap the power button to turn the unit back on
Putting a Slimline V1 or V2 into manual mode.
Also applies for a Slimline-e and a Slimline-e V2
- Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds to power the unit off.
- Press and hold the clock button until you see 00 01 on the screen.
- Tap the clock button until the small number in the top right corner goes to 12.
- Press the down arrow to make the large number 00.
- Tap the A button.
- Tap the power button to turn the unit back on again.
Putting a Slimline V3 or V4 into manual mode
Also applies for a Slimline-e V3
- Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds to power the unit off.
- Press and hold the clock button until you see 00 01 on the screen.
- Tap the clock button until the small number in the top right corner goes to 11.
- Press the down arrow to make the large number 00.
- Tap the A button.
- Tap the power button to turn the unit back on again.
To manually control the temperature, make sure that you do not have an snowflake or a house and snowflake symbol, otherwise you will only be able to turn the heating between 7°C and 17°C. If you see this, tap the power button once.
Then use the up and down keys to set the desired temperature and then press A to confirm. A flame icon will indicate that it is calling for heat.
