Question:
Why does my boiler/heating keep turning on and is constantly working?
Answer:
To resolve this, please do the following:
Temporarily move your thermostat closer to the boiler - dismount it from the wall if you have it installed there and place it next to your receiver.
1. Carefully separate the front half of the thermostat from the back plate by placing a
small flat-head terminal driver into the slots on the bottom face of the thermostat.
2. Unscrew the thermostat back plate off the wall
3. Take the backplate off the wall and clip the front of the thermostat back onto the thermostat back plate.
Then place your thermostat within around 2 meters from a receiver, which should be installed close to your boiler for an hour.
Your receiver will look like this:
RF-Switch UH8-RF V2
If the boiler now turns on and off according to the schedule you set up, it means that there is something blocking the communication between a receiver and a thermostat such as an external wall, metal doors, or other appliances.
To solve it, you will either have to boost the signal by installing neoPlugs (depending on how far the receiver is from the thermostats, you might need more than one) or by an extended aerial on your UH-RF V1/V2.
