If you are no longer using a zone on a UH8-RF, you will need to deactivate the zone, otherwise that zone will enter failsafe, meaning that the redundant zone will come on for 12 minutes every hour.
Firstly, go to one of the neoAir V2/V3 thermostats.
- Using the left and right buttons, move the box until it is over the power icon on the left.
- Press and hold Tick until you see SETUP and CLOCK.
- Press Tick on SETUP, then down to P2 and press Tick (make a note of the large number small number and two letters).
- On the same screen, press tick once and change the small number to match the zone that you wish to deactivate on the UH8-RF.
- After pressing tick a few times, it will go back to the original screen.
- Press and hold Tick until you see SETUP and CLOCK.
- Press Tick on SETUP, then down to P3 and press Tick.
- Use the left arrow to make the large number 00.
- Then press Tick.
Turn heating up and down, you should see the Zone light coming on the UH8-RF go off and on, this is sending a message to the wiring centre to unpair a thermostat previously connected to the UH8-RF on zone 1. This will need to be done 4 times. This will mean that the information will be transmitted on the UH8-RF to turn that zone off.
The next step is to put the thermostat back to the original settings.
Back to the thermostat
- Go to the power icon on the left,
- Press and hold Tick until you see SETUP and CLOCK
- Press Tick on SETUP, then down to P2 and press Tick
- Press Tick and go to the small number, change it back to the original number, then press Tick to go back to the main screen.
- Press and hold Tick until you see SETUP and CLOCK
- Press Tick on SETUP, then down to P3 and press Tick
- Use the left arrow to make the large number 01.
- Then press Tick.
Turn the heating up and down making sure that the correct zone turns on and off on the UH8-RF
